What We Collect
In order to provide you the best possible service and user experience we collect the following types of information.
When you create a BillMinder account, we store the information you provide to us, including, but not limited to your email address and login information. We may also collect any information that you provide to us over the course of email or other communications to us in order to better respond to your request. By providing us with this information, you consent to your information being collected, used, disclosed and stored by us in accordance with this Policy.
We will store all the bill information, which may or may not include Personal Information (it’s up to you how much information you want to enter,) that you enter into the Service.
Finally, We may also collect information about how you use the Service, including crash reports and other metrics related to your use of the Service, this data would not include any Personal Information.
How We Will and Won’t Use It
We will use and disclose the data we collect from you only for the following purposes:
- To provide the Service itself, this includes features that back up your information in case your device is lost or stolen as well as ones that offer you the ability to synch your data between multiple devices that you have connected to the same account.
- To provide customer support, communicate with you about your account and receive feedback.
- To monitor the performance and improve the features of the Service, this may include statistical analysis and aggregation of anonymized data.
We will never access your personal bill data unless you expressly ask us to. We will never rent, sell, or share any information that personally identifies you to any third party.
How We Keep It Safe
We take all appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to your data. When your information is transferred to our servers it is done over a Secure Socket Layer (SSL).
Access to your account account requires a user created password. You may also use iOS authentication for added security. We take great care to protect the security of your information so we ask that you also do your part by keeping all your account passwords and passcodes secret.
You can update or delete any information you give us at any time. However, since we do regularly create backup copies of the data for the purpose of recovery from a hard drive error or failure, a residual copy of your data may exist in our system in encrypted form for some time.
BillMinder also offers the option of usage without creating an account. In doing so, we will collect no information from or about you, but we will not be able to provide you some of the features of the service, such as backup and syncing.
How We May Contact You
We may send you information related to your usage of the service. Because we believe this information to be very important, you will not be able to opt-out of reception of these notifications. You will have the option to opt in to receiving promotional and informational materials from us if you so choose.
